Any first time mothers lose friends during their pregnancy?

My two best friends have completely ditched me, because I'm 'boring' now because I can't always either afford to go out or I'm just far too tired and sick. I'm only 9 weeks and they were so excited when they found out, but they've completely changed and now friends-wise, I'm basically on my own. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes. My best friend and I still talk, but she's out doing the college raving thing and I'm a stay at home mom. Obviously our friendship is different now, but we still make time to get together because it's important to us. We both have made new friends, but if it is really important for you to see your friend, you will both make time. It's not easy, and I recommend finding a young mom group in your area, because lots of moms are in the same boat, lonely.
The moms group in my town is GREAT and we always get together for park dates or potlucks. You'll get through it!

Yesss!!! I lost every single one of my friends because I couldn't go to parties and I had 'changed', I lost my baby at 13 weeks and suddenly they all decided to be friendly again and ask to go out. They aren't real friends!
