So this girl I use to work with posted on FB a few weeks ago that she was 10 weeks pregnant with twins (she is the type that post just for attention a lot so we all didn't believe it from the start, but didn't say anything of course) then April 1st gets here and she says April fools, she's not pregnant! To me the joke didn't hurt my feelings (I thought it was immature, she's like 25) but as a women who has endometriosis and has been trying to get pregnant; I can't wait for that BFP and to be able to announce it to my family and friends! So to me i don't think it's funny to joke about being pregnant publicly, if at all; well then the worse part to me, this is where my feelings get hurt is when I explain to her (not in a mean way at all, that's just not me) how she might not realize it but her joke isn't funny about being pregnant and it is a sting to someone's heart who can't or is waiting so badly for the BFP! Her response to that is there is much worse out there and she doesn't support child abuse or abortion and all that so who cares about her joke!! She also said she would do it again and sent the laughing face with it! I tried explains it a few different times using different wording, hoping for the best but At the end we decided to agree to disagree bc there was no getting to her!

Then a few of her friends even started calling me names and telling me I'm crazy and sensitive and the joke is no big deal and again I tried to explain my FEELINGS and nothing they didn't understand so it was a lost cause and waste of time at the end of the day! I was hoping to educate her! But my question to all my fellow glow friends is how do y'all feel on that type of situation and April fools joke?

I have had friends do it before but we were in high school and didn't know any better! If I was told by someone that joke hurts people's feelings and why then I would understand and not support it!

And I try to remind myself she isn't in the same part of life as my husband and I so it's hard for her to know/understand!

Oh and the best part is she then posted a video of a man proposing and then saying April fools and she was so upset over that joke and went on how it was not funny blah blah!

I agree! That is a cruel joke! I believe tho she was offended bc she just started dating this guy like a few months ago and she always talked about wanting to get married sooner then later! And already talks about in love! I'm honestly not the drama type of girl but I do stand my ground and I'm very honest with people! Esp friends and family!

Help me feel that I'm not just way over sensitive or maybe tell me I am and what your feeling and thoughts are on that joke!!! I'm embarrassed I even entertained her but in my defense AF came the day before so those few days of the month are the hardest on me! Y'all know!

She laughed when I posted this!!! That's when I def learned her heart and deleted her from my life! ✌🏻️
