Cooking with seasonal produce
What's the seasonal produce in your area, and what are you making right now?
Autumn (fall) has just started in southeast Australia. I bought apples, brown pears and rhubarb at my local market. Last night I stewed the apples and rhubarb (photo attached) and I plan to try poaching the pears, a first for me.
My traditional Chinese acupuncturist specialises in fertility and he's banned uncooked, raw, cold and dried fruits and vegetables from my diet.
