Trying to get pregnant

I'm new to this but here goes nothing me and my partner have been together for 4 years I have two kids of my own and he has one, I was on the iud for 4 years I took it out in March, we have been trying to conceive but with no luck, their should of been a lot of times where I should have been pregnant but with no luck I'm just wondering if this has happened to other women or did the iud cause damage to where I can not get pregnant anymore?
