Deism

Recently I have realized that I am a deist. I was raised Christian and I never really felt like I belonged to that category. I didn't believe what the pastor read in church and didn't feel like I should be participating in communion because I questioned everything about Christianty. I felt terrible about this, until I started forming my own beliefs. When I learned about deism, I finally felt like I found my place. The place I live is often referred to as the "Bible Belt" so I feel like if I make my beliefs clear then I would be shunned, especially by my family. I just wanted to post this because it feels good to make my beliefs known. I believe that there is some supernatural power(s) that created the universe, and I believe in spirits and supernatural entities that can have an effect on the natural world and that they can be either good or evil, or a bit of both. I don't believe in Satan, or in hell, but I do understand the importance of them in the Christian religion. I think Satan is more of a term that people use to describe the "evil" characteristics of people. I am a great lover of nature and I believe certai people can connect and commune with nature. Does anybody else share my beliefs? Are you a deist, but good different beliefs? I would love to hear them.
