No heartbeat & D&C

Backstory: at 6 weeks i had very light spotting so i went to the women's hospital..an ultrasound was done and baby was measuring on time with a heartbeat of 106..my beta was over 17,000..the day i made 9 weeks i started spotting again..a little heavier than the first time so i went back to the women's hospital..this time they wouldnt do an ultrasound..they said i was just there 3 weeks ago and baby was in the uterus with a heartbeat and not to come back unless i was bleeding heavy with cramping..that spotting lasted 2 days..i made an apt with my obgyn and it was yesterday april 5..i was supposed to be 10w 5d..they did an ultrasound and baby had no heartbeat..baby measured 8.5w..i am scheduled for a d&c friday april 8..ive never had a d&c..any of you ladies ever had one and can tell me about the after feelings..

I never had any cramping or heavy bleeding..

im trying to change my status on glow back to ttc and it asks for my lmp and tries to base my next cycle off my history..how do i let them know that i had a miscarriage and that info might change..

UPDATE: i had my d&c today april 8..thank you ladies for the information..i was put to sleep..seemed like an easy process, woke up with cramping but was given some pain medication for it and havent had any since..just taking it easy for now..
