How do I get birth control ?

I'm 18 & a senior in high school, still living with my parents and they pay all the bills and I'm pretty sure I'm on their insurance. My parents are pretty religious and Would die if they knew I had sex before marriage. I tried asking my mom for birth control for my acne and cramps but she said no because then it gives me a right to have sex. So how the hell do I get birth control without my mom finding out or it coming up on the insurance claim ?

You can go to a planned parenthood or any "family planning" facility and get free birth control.

When I was a teenager I went to planned parenthood, told them I didn't have insurance, and got the pill and refills for free. The state pays for it and it doesn't ever bill your parents. You can always make a donation on the way out if you can give back for their services.

You could also call the number on your insurance card (if you have insurance) and ask them about making an appointment. Explain to the nurse on the phone that you want birth control but you really can't have your parents find out and she'll explain to you how they keep it confidential. You'll just have to pay for the copay to see the doctor and the $$ for the prescription. After you go you might get something in the mail, a receipt for going to the doctor (my husband gets these) so you'll have to intercept them before your parents check the mail.

If you have a health unit . Go there . And if your 18 you should be able to do whatever you want without your parents promotion . The health unit here is free and takes Medicade .

You could goto planned parenthood, they will do it for cheaper based on income. Or else I think it doesn't really show up on insurance because bc is a right to anyone with or without parent consent. Even if your 12 you can get it. I had an iud my dad didn't know I got it, cause it didn't say iud on the insurance bill
