Taking that career opportunity?

I know this had to be controversial lol. So, I am going to frame it as a question. Would you take the opportunity for a promotion that involved more money,  but really was not the job you initially wanted?

So, this is my situation currently. Its not big money really.

If it could help my career long term. Additional responsibilities, management opportunity, title, etc. all could be strategically good reasons to take a job

I had this opportunity and I took it and I hate my job. The money isn't worth my sanity to me. But everyone is different and some people can be content with that.

I guess it depends. How much more money? Would I be miserable in my new job? I would rather have less money and be content than to have more money but work a job that I loathe. Choose happiness!

Do you think you might like it? I would do it if it was good for my career/I thought I would like it/it was a LOT of money. But if it's something you won't like and it's not too much money, I wouldn't.
