Addicted to Cheating

Some backstory: In the latest issue of my school's newspaper an anonymous article titled "The Mind of a Cheater" was published. It is about someone's experiences with cheating in school. In the article they say something along the lines of even though I knew it was wrong I still did it. I got into a bit of a debate with someone who said "why would you continue to do it if you knew there was so much at stake? You can't be addicted to cheating." That brings me to my question- do you think you can be addicted to cheating? I think you can. Even though it is not physically addictive in the way nicotine is (for example) I think that addictions can also be physiological.
