Baby necesities??

My baby girl is due in September me and my boyfriend are starting to prepare for her arrival and I was just curious what are things that you ladies would strongly recommend/suggest for baby's arrival..we have a crib, stroller/car seat taken care of but I get so overwhelmed when I go shopping and see 100s of baby bottles and different lotions etc and all kinds of brands..any suggestions help especially to help cut the cost!!

Call me old fashioned but I  just buy the gerber and evenflo bottles and regular nipples! I have 6 kids, and they've all used plain bottles and I've never had an issue with them. As far as diapers go, yeah Pampers is great, but Luvs are just as great, and cheaper. You'll need sleepers, gowns, receiving blankets, burp rags...I just use cloth diapers for that, works great, and cheaper. I love Baby Magic lotion! That's pretty much your preference though. You'll also want to get some diaper rash cream! I use A&D ointment, love it!

Lots of cotton washcloths are great for spit up. A couple muslin swaddling blankets. A few sleepers. Don't buy tons of clothes. A bouncy seat or swing is helpful to. I have a September baby and honestly i never used a nursing pillow or cover and she never wore some of the clothes because she grew out of them so fast. Go to consignment stores for most things.

Are you planning to have a baby shower? If you plan to breastfeed I suggest getting pads, nipple cream, nursing bras, a boppy pillow, and a cover if you dont feel comfortable without one. Bottles are tricky because it depends on the baby, so maybe you can buy single bottle of the ones you like. Pampers of different sizes, avoiding newborn because little one will grow out of them quickly. Hope this helped a little

Playtex drop ins or ventaire are about $4 each and are comparable to adiri, Dr browns, boob bottle etc so you save about $10 per bottle but are giving your child something equally good.
Mam pacifiers are worth the extra money.
If you need formula, go for the generic brands first. They are equal in nutrition, safety and regulations to brand name. Brand name is not best and some babies actually react better to it. Costco Kirkland formula is said to make formula poop smell like breastmilk poop.
Don't go crazy with baby clothes until after the baby shower. Only buy the bare minimum.
Here's my recommendations:
 3-4 halo sleepsacks (one or two can be something like a woombie for swaddling -this means you can get away with only having one or two receiving blankets)
