Birth Control

I've been looking into forms of birth control for a while now. I've made a decision between either the Depo shot, or the pill. I'm not sure what to do because of the negative feedback I've heard about the Depo shot. Also due to my living conditions right now, I switch between two different houses. I would need to bring the pill with me between houses when I switch. Does anybody have any recommendations, or tips on how they remember to take the pill everyday? Any help would be greatly appericiated!
