evenflo nurture infant car seat ?

I'm a teen mom, don't live with my parents So I'm paying for everything on my own with the help of SO of course. I know a baby is only as expensive as you make it but I also know some things are worth spending the money on. I was gifted this Evenflo nurture infant car seat (pic below) and the prices range from 60-70 dollars. Some reviews are good and some reviews are like "I wouldn't even put a doll in this" Has anyone used this carseat before? Was it acceptable or should I go ahead and spend a little money on a higher quality carseat? Thanks for you help 😌

I haven't got this car seat so can't comment on its use personally but car seats are rigorously tested and they wouldn't be able to sell them if they weren't safe. Some people are just picky/snobby. It's the same with everything. As long as it hasn't previously been in an accident it will be fine, especially for free :)

I have a saftey first one a 3 in 1 for 150 from Wal-Mart.. remember baby will grow out of that one.. and do you drive?

My baby's head would flop down even with the support thing mine came with. Hated it and was worried about him having his head so low (basically to his chest) so we only use his chicco keyfit now. Definitely would not reccomend

Personally I don't trust evenflo carseats. They did pass crash test ratings but they're in the lower end of the spectrum. I heard they barely passed. Chicco and britax are the top rated brands for safety. They're expensive but worth it. You could get a chicco convertible carseat that will last from birth until the child is around 65 lbs so that would literally last years as my 5 year old only weighs 45 lbs.

I have this carseat. It's acceptable but not good quality. The plastic around the sides are really bendable if you hold it from the sides. Other than than, it's an ok carseat.

Don't get it I seen this car seat in an accident many times and it does not do well evenflo is the worst brand you could get I've seen one break and kill a baby. I recommend Cosco though it's cheap and does well in an accident it's a bit more expensive but most are about $60-$75 and your baby's safety is worth it

I would join the "Car Seats for Littles" Facebook group and ask them on there. Even though all car seats go through the same safety checks, I've seen in that group some newborns are too small for certain seats.
