Hungry at 3 a.m. ??

Question

I'm 24 weeks along and lately I've been having trouble sleeping/ staying asleep, and just having the craziest hunger at odd hours of the night! I haven't given in yet because I don't want 3 or 4 a.m. snacking to become a daily ritual, but holy moly my stomach is growling so loud sometimes I think it could wake hubby! Anyone else having sleep trouble or hunger pangs at ungodly hours??

I haven't done this since around 12 weeks but the last week (21-22) I'm starving around 1 AM every night. I got up & had a glass of chocolate milk. I probably would have had something else but I brushed my teeth after & knew everything would taste nasty lol the milk did the trick though I fell back to sleep without a rumbling tummy.

I've been woke up 2 or 3 times now because I was so hungry I has horrible heartburn. I laid awake for half an hour before I decided to go get a snack and I went right back to sleep then.

I had that a lot in the first trimester. If I didn't eat, I would start dry heaving. I started eating bananas as a snack... Even if it's in the middle of the night. I rarely wake up in the middle of the night now (I'm almost 25 wks), but I eat a banana every single morning right when I wake up. They're super convient and great for baby... Plus they help to prevent constipation!!

I wake up and eat a yogurt cup or cheese sandwich lol. Its sadly my ritual. But I embrace it bc I fall back to sleep peacefully without hunger pains. Lol

I went through this between 12-15 weeks, and ate a bagel with cream cheese nearly every morning between 2-4am. Then, I stopped waking up hungry for a few weeks. Now, at 21 weeks, it's starting up again. I just give my body what it wants and go back to bed (if possible!) lol

yep, every night at 3am, it doesn't matter what I eat before bed, I wake up starving!!
