Feeling upset

I hate even saying this because I feel dumb, but I can't help it. Talking about engagement with my boyfriend the other day and just mentioning it and he said he wasn't ready yet. That sort of hurt my feelings, I know that may seem petty but I can't help but feel upset about it. We have been together for 2 years and I just figured he felt the same way. It is still bothering me, I know it has nothing to do with me but it just doesn't feel great.
