Birth control methods

So I was on Depo Provera for four years with no problems. I stopped using it to give my body a break (I barely had a period). I've been off of if for little over a year and everything has been fine, normal cycles etcetera. I attempted to get on the pill, Tri Sprentec, and it makes me so sick that I just stopped taking it. I'm thinking of getting back on Depo, but I hope to start family planning in about a year. Any other birth control suggestions other than any form of an insert(Nuvaring, etc.)?
