The Pill

I really want to get on the pill, but I know that there can be some side effects. It's primarily to control my period so that i know when its coming and i can skip it for my holiday abroad this year, but it would also be used as a method of contraception too at some point. I was just wondering if anyone knew of possible side effects and whether they would recommend it or not. Thank you ☺️
