Craving lunch meat?😩😭

I feel bad that I'm craving a ham sandwich soooooo much I feel like I need it but I'm scared to actually eat it. Does warming it up in the microwave make the risk for listeria go away?

You can eat cold sandwich meat all you want to. That's what my doctor said. And then she laughed that people actually avoid it

You don't actually HAVE to heat it up lol. I've eaten plenty of cold cut sandwiches during my pregnancy so far and this little baby and I are doing just fine. ☺️

I have a cold cut sandwich everyday. I don't eat it if it's more then a week old.

I ate cold sandwiches nearly everyday with my pregnancies. All three of my boys have been perfectly fine.

Cold cuts are not that scary. I don't know why people put food restrictions out there. I mean honestly how many people do you know have gotten sick from deli meat?

I was told that if you heat it, it's fine.  Which is good bc that's all I wanted for about 2 weeks straight!

I've eaten lunch meat at least 5-10 times over the course of my last 7 months being pregnant. If you buy some from a deli to take home you could microwave it for 30ish seconds or until it steams and then re-cool it in the refrigerator or freezer if you want to eat quickly. If you buy a sandwich from a reputable restaurant I would just eat it.

I was craving a cold cajun turkey sandwhich, and asked my doctor id i coukd eat it. She told me ir woukd be fine as lomg as the meat is not old.
I ate about 3 in one day, baby is healthy and still growing and growing.
