When do you start purchasing things for rainbow baby?

I'm hearing so many different things about the appropriate time to purchase things for my baby. Especially after a mc. Curious to everyone's thoughts.

Pregnant with a rainbow baby and very nervous to purchase anything. It was heartbreaking to look at the things that I had for my daughter after ahe passed. This time I'm  waiting until 6 months.

My first I wanted to wait til I was 7 months pregnant because I always felt like something could go wrong. And it did. But this time around I'm going to be positive and have faith that my baby will be in my arms so I started buying little things at about 3 to 4 weeks.. it helps too makes me feel better.

I started buying for our angel of February as soon as I found out about him/her in January. I bought planning for the weather for the October birth and also bought a Christmas outfit. 
I started buying for our rainbow baby as soon as I got confirmation last week. 
I went through all the clothes I've bought yesterday with my husband. 
I found the Christmas outfit I bought. I got a little sad. Then wondered what to do with it. Our newest addition won't be here by Christmas unless he/she is early. 
I'm wondering what to do with the Christmas outfit. Is it lame to keep it in memory? Or should I give it away?
