I dont have kids YET...But i do plan on it....Im the parent your the child....You have to have a certin level of respect....Ive seen too many bad assssss kids and their parents act like its just a faze....You let them act out as a young child theyll think its okay growing up....

but its a big difference from BEATING and SPANKING !

Look into some educational books on behavior modification. I took a lot of these classes while getting my degree, and there are so many ways to change the behavior of your child (or anyone) without hitting them. 
My professor also pointed out that it is really odd to teach a child that if you don't like what someone is doing or they do something wrong that you should hit them. That made a lot of sense to me. I was spanked as a child and I don't believe that it has a lot of negative impact, but there are just way better and healthier ways if you just educate yourself and take some initiative.

I don't know why there is still a debate on this. Science has spoken! All of the dozens of studies on spanking over the past 65 years conclude that spanking does more harm than good. The American Pshycological Association, the World Health Organization, and the American Academy of Pediatrics all agree that there are much better more effective ways to teach your children manners and respect.

I have no shame in spanking my child if need be... 
But I am happy to say that my child is 8 and I have never needed to resort to that.

Rarely, my son is pretty well behaved and gets spanked maybe once every few months. He does get alot of your testing my patience looks lol he gets two warnings.. if he doesn't correct himself I take away a toy so that's normally enough for him 😊 he earns it back with good behavior.

I was spanked, as was my husband... But we decided a long time ago (before we even wanted children) that we will not spank. It was not an effective form of disipline for us and we would rather use time outs and "take aways" with our children... But whatever, do you, just don't beat the child.

I think every parent has a view on how the want to raise there children and discipline there children. There are always going to be people out there to judge you and say thats wrong but its your kids your choice. Someone will always have an issue with putting them in time out or in the corner or spanking them or taking toys away. I was spanked as a child and i never once thought oh since she spanks me i can go hit a kid at school or my siblings. I think its a choice just like majority of everything else in this world is a choice. No one is a bad person for choosing to and no one is a bad person for choosing not to.

I don't think spanking/hitting your child is the answer. They will grow a tolerance to it and be like what the hell il do this il get a slap/spankin off mum/dad and thats it and sooner or later it wont bother them. Whereas other punishment sticking to your ground by taking phones/toys/wifi/dvd off them or complete solidarity until they well and truly learn. If my daughter (7yr) has done something wrong i lower myself to her level straight in her eyes and threaten with punishment if she does it again i go higher with my tone and do what I said i was gonna do. I dont really agree with the spanking ect method. Purely because i wasnt brought up that way - obviously im an angel😊
