Too much period 😫

This is my first time posting here, but I really need to answers or at least someone who can relate! I've been on the pill for about 7 years now but my periods been crazy as of the last half a year or less. I get my period for 6+ days and after it ends I'll get it again a week or 2 later. Is it something to do with my health or should I try a new birth control?! It's really starting to bug me.
