Formula feeding only?

Question

Anyone else choosing to formula feed without trying breastfeeding? My husband and I talked about it and we have decided to formula feeding is the best fit for us.

I am. That's what we decided with our first (He's 11 months old now.), and it was honestly the absolute best decision for our family. Dad got to play a much bigger role even early on. I found a formula I liked and never switched him to anything else. He's incredibly healthy and has an awesome immune system. He'll be a year old in 2 weeks and has only been sick once in his life (ear infection). He has zero allergies. And has never had issues being underweight or overweight. I just didn't want to breastfeed. So I didn't. And I don't regret it.

I am not starting off with formula feeding but I just want to say that I fully support your decision  (not that it matters).  Here is my advice to you :

Be comfortable and confident in your decision. Many many many people will try to shame you and guilt you into breastfeeding, especially when you're in the hospital with your newborn and your emotions are all over the place.  Don't even let the lactation consultant in because they will make you feel conflicted.

Millions of babies have been formula fed and are just fine.  Yours will be too.

Sister was formula fed right from the beginning and she is healthy as can be mom had a traumatic experience with me. You go girl ♡

I would if i could afford it. #1 was on formula. I personally loved it.

I am. Baby #3, I tried it all with my first and had to give him formula with #2 I did the same. This time I'm not even going to put us through it. I know it will be better for baby and me if I remove that stress. Formula provides everything they need to grow and be healthy. I also swear that my kids had the great sleeping habits they did because of it. I knew what they were really getting and their bellies were full. Both slept through the night at 4 weeks and my other formula Mommas seem to have similar experiences.

I tried for a few weeks with my first and ended up just formula feeding.  She did great. But this go around I'm gonna breastfeed. The benifits for us out way the ease of formula. But since your gonna formula feed one helpful tip blend a days worth of bottles up that way you don't have to mix a bottle each time

I am. Not only do I have insufficient glandular tissue but one of my nipples is partially inverted while the other isn't. I've been told by every OB and lactation consultant that building a supply with both of these issues would be an incredibly tough journey. I know myself and how down and frustrated I would be if I tried and failed at nourishing baby. So for the sanity of myself, baby and the rest of my family we've chosen formula. I did formula with my daughter as well and she's a healthy happy 4 year old.

I'm really considering it. I breastfed my son briefly (about 6 weeks) he had a problem latching on so if also pump. I wasn't producing enough milk so the dr told me I could mix the breastmilk with formula. Eventually I just switched to just formula. I'm torn because I know the benefits.
