Does job hopping look bad in the long run?

So I'm 25 almost 26 and graduated university in May 2012. I've had 4 jobs since then, 2 for 6 months and my previous and current one for a year and a half. I'm really ready to move to something different & try and move up. Internal promotions are really slow at my company, you basically have to wait til someone retires. That's how I got the position I have. It's a great company but I'm still in kind of an entry level position and ready to move on. But I feel like constant job hopping will not look good in the long run. Should I stay and hope that building seniority pays off, or look for something bigger and better pay?
