Need dating advice!

Hi. I am 29 weeks preg. I am also dating. But I'm so bad at it! I've been on three dates with this guy and last night we made out--a lot. I also like him--a lot. Up till now I always let him text me first. Should I keep doing that? He is having an art show tonight and I want to tell him I hope it's going well. But I ALWAYS seem to screw up dating by texting too much. Maybe wait for him to text me, then tell him I hope it went well? Or is it nice for me to show affection this way? Help!
