Stabbing pain in abdomen with each breath

I started my period yesterday and today after putting my cup in, I had intense stabbing pains and had to go to the bathroom. I took it out because it was just too painful and thought that might be causing it. Well it wasn't and now the stabbing pains have been for hours. I got my wisdom teeth pulled 2 days ago so I'm on lots of Tylenol and ibuprofen and yet I'm still in severe pain down there. Normally I have some stabbing pain during my period especially when using the bathroom but none that are this intense or last this long. What could be causing it?
