Uncircumcised baby boy??

Question

So I'm due in a few weeks with a baby boy and we're keeping him uncircumcised. Please no argument, I don't want opinions. This is our decision and its final. However my SO is not intact so I have no one else to ask questions about this to. I understand how to clean it and that you're not suppose to retract the foreskin. So what about smegma?? How do I keep it from smelling? Am I suppose to clean it out or just let it come out on its own and clean what comes out? Please, only people who are experienced with uncircumcised infants. Thank you!!

They don't need special cleaning just a normal bath and wipe when there nappy is changed is enough. The chance of infection is soo small that's why circumcision is so unecessary. It may have been needed hundreds of years ago when people where clueless about hygiene but not now. I have little brothers I'm 15 years older so helped out with them a lot and they never had any issues. My partner is also uncut and has never had any problems. 😊

I have three boys all uncircumcised. As for cleaning it them sitting in the bath is enough when they are younger. When changing their nappies just make sure you clean their penis with a wipe by gently cleaning from top to tip. None of my boys have had an infection and they are aged almost 2, 3 and 4. Ive never attenpted to pull back or dig in when cleaning. As long as you change your baby boy regularly and he can sit in still water for a bath he should be fine.

"If intact don't retract, only clean what is seen!" Super simple, like cleaning a finger from base to tip, and allow himself to naturally retract through self exploration. Once he's refracted, teach him about rinsing it with water when in the shower or bath. My nephew who is 6 this year is barely retracted and isn't interested in pulling it back, but his 3 year old little brother is fully retracted because he explored with slowly retracting it. Never force retraction on an intact boy! They'll do it themselves and some don't even do it until puberty. Make sure any doctors or nurses and sitters never do it either, as some are ill educated or informed about this and will forcibly retract and cause a lot of pain and issues on them!

Bathing and cleaning with baby wipes. Just make sure to always wash your hands. I know a lot of people with uncircumcised babies and have never had a problem. Your baby will be fine😊 nothing to worry about 😌
