Late Period

My period is 8 days late. I don't think I'm pregnant, because the last test I took was negative, but my period hasn't been late in forever. I am going through a lot of stress, and the guy I was with is being really hard to talk to. Should I be worried or should I try and chill out and wait for Aunt Flows return?
