how many bottles do i need?

i plan on breastfeeding as much as possible, but will go back to work after 4 months. i bought avent twin pump which comes with two smallest bottles, but i am not sure how many more bottles and which size i actually need. can someone help? i'm a ftm, i have no idea what i'm doing 😄

thanks, ladies! when i start working, i will be out for 10 hours, so i guess i should do find with 6 bottles in total.

I would say at least 6 bottles if you are at work for an 8 hour day. My son takes 3 bottles during my work day. At night I prep my 3 bottles for the next day, and the 3 dirty bottles go in the dishwasher. I bought an adaptor for my pump to pump straight into my bottles also.

I'm pumping at work and pump using the small 5 ounce bottles. I take four bottles, one set of the cup things, and then three valve things. I pour the milk from the bottles into bags and then that gives me time to wash a set of bottles for my last pumping before I leave work.

I'm planning on exclusively breastfeeding. I think you are fine with these two as long as you have storage bags to refrigerate

It depends if baby will be going to daycare.  If not then the 2 pump bottles are fine plus maybe 2 more,  the milk is mostly stored in the freezer in milk bags so I just had 2 for the pump n 2 for feeding.

You can probably buy a starter pack, which usually comes with 4-6. Check on amazon.

At least 5. I worked in child care for years, parents would pre fill their bottles the minimum was about 4-5, 4-8 ounce bottles. It really depends on how much your baby eats. But again I would start out with 5.
