I know forum this is about pregnancy, but I have a question for mothers with young girls.

I have a 6 year old daughter who screams in terror when it is time to brush her hair. Since I can remember, she has always been this way. I would get so upset and give up, because she would cry so hard and run away. It has to be done, I tell her. Has to. There was a time when I cut it really short hoping that would help. No. Still she would cry and scream. I have bought many types of brushes to see if it would help. No. Nothing helped. I've used tons of conditioner/leave in or not...

The other day I noticed red dots where her hair grows in ...they were smooth but looked like little blood drops..wth?? Maybe it is really painful for her...I feel horrible that it took me this long to notice..

Anyone know why this is happening? Or have had a similar reaction?
