Guys I need some help!

My high school principal saw me in hallway with my pride flag, told me to go to the office, and then preceded to make me wait 5 more minutes until he would even tell me what I did wrong. Finally he walked back into the main office, took my flag, and then escorted me to his office.

At that point, I was already crying pretty heavily, but I then asked him what I had done wrong. That's when the floodgates opened.

Apparently my friend had taken my flag, run off with it, and "disturbed the learning process of students," more or less there were people upset that I could have my pride flag, and they couldn't have their confederate flags. Meanwhile, I had been threaten that someone was going to burn my flag, and someone had grabbed it, thrown it on the ground and stepped on it! But apparently it doesn't matter if a student is threatened!

So, my principal preceded to tell me how the girl who stole my flag was told to put it away, and she finally gave it back to me, and I had it folded up and was going to put it in my back pack as soon as I got to my next class, but my principal told me to go to the office.

So of course as I already said, I had to sit there and nervously wait for him. I get into his office and he tells me what I did wrong, and I told him I had no idea that she was running with my flag and disrupting students, but apparently that didn't matter to him.

He told me that he couldn't give me my flag back, that my mother would have to pick it up (and my mother had taken my flag away, and had no idea that I had it with me) so I was absolutely terrified. Then it got worse.

My principal then told me that he would have to call my mother. My mother has no idea about my sexuality, and I sure as hell Didn't want her to find out that way. So I begged and begged him not to call my mother, but he said that it was at a point where "he had to!"

I was texting my best friend throughout the whole thing, as I was in the verge of an asthma attack and I couldn't breathe, and my friend understood where I was coming from, being transgender. My principal told me to stop texting and to put my phone down, and I flat out told him I could not breathe, and he didn't seem to care.

So he called my mother, told her that I had "a gay pride flag," that she needed to come get, and that I wasn't in any major trouble, but that I was in his office crying.

He then told me, after hanging up with my mother, that I was free to go back to class. As I'm still bawling my eyes out. So I went back to class, and confided in the same friend I was texting.

So in this long story, I'm just asking, was this acceptable, or is there anything I can do?
