Where to get what!🤔 Affordable finds only, please.

Where should we look into looking for cribs, rockers, dresser (using it as a dresser/changing table both to save room)?? Any tips are appreciated!! New momma here and I'm learning something new everyday from you guys😊

Got a baby bed for 61 dollars new never been open at dirt cheap. It was 112.00 but got to the register it was 61.00. Can't beat that.

I got our crib on Craigslist for 35 dollars. We upcycled a dresser (bought it from a for sale group on facebook) & my husband built our changing table. The changing table came out to about the same price as it would've been to buy one (about 100 bucks) but I didn't like the way any of those were set up so I designed my own & put hubby to work. I always like to buy a new car seat I bought mine from Walmart and it wasn't very expensive. But for other stuff I love garage sales

IKEA is a good place for cribs and dressers!!! Ours has held up we just moved my 3 year old out of the crib a month ago!

This was about 3 years ago, but I think the advice would still be useful:

We bought a convertible crib from babie-r-us. They didnt keep the conversion kits (for the toddler rail and the twin/full bed rails) in stock and referred us to the manufacturer. I'm glad they did, because we saved somewhere around $150 from what b-r-u was going to charge us.

Also, dont forget second-hand stuff is still good, depending on what it is.

Weird fact: car seats have expiration dates.

Wayfair.com has some good deals on cribs, dressers, and rockers. I've also seen some from Ikea, amazon, and wal mart. It might also be worth a look at thrift stores or on Craigslist, especially things like swings, bouncers, etc. I'm probably going to buy our car seat from wal mart or amazon, depending on which has a better deal.

I love thrift stores BUT:
Cribs- drop side cribs are illegal to sell. They are unsafe. Make sure you get a non drop side crib.
Carseats- if you get it used, please ONLY get it from someone you TRUST. Make sure it hasn't been in any accidents and make sure it's not expired.
