Vacationing out of the country with an infant?

Has anyone out there been on vacation out of the country with their infant? My hubby and i were asked to go on vacation to cancun mexico with my husbands side of the family in December but our baby boy will be about 4 months old... First time mom here.... But my husband and i have traveled all over the world so we r use to travel... Just not with a baby yet! Any advice would be great thank you!

Feed the baby while the plane is taking off it will help with their ears popping.

Pack as many diapers and wipes as you can, prices tend to be way more in foreign countries.

If you're not purchasing a seat for him/her still bring your stroller and car seat through to the gate, sometimes they have extra space and you can get the seat for free.

If you can swing it buy a cheap extra car seat for the trip, if you do check you car seat, Baggage handlers are rough so I wouldn't  use a car seat for everyday use that was thrown under a plane.

The only thing I know about traveling with a baby is when they ears get blocked it can be painful and that breast feeding while taking off can help. My family went on a holiday when my little brother was around that age and it seemed to help
