Maternity Leave
I saw an article on Facebook this morning that some women now think that they deserve maternity leave if they don't have kids. They're calling it "MEternity leave." I think it's ridiculous. Maternity leave is for expectant mothers, not a vacation. It's time for birth, healing and bonding with baby. And depending on where you're from, it's probably not paid either. I honestly think that if you're childless, you don't deserve that particular leave. Either take your vacation or have a child to get the leave.
Thoughts on this?
(I commented on the article and one woman called me a cunt because she disagreed and then said I'm inconsiderate to infertile women.)
