Does anyone feel excessive thirst?

Question

I'm 8w pregnant and I'm feeling really thirsty a lot and especially parched when I get up to go to the loo in the middle of the night. 
I try to drink lots of water all day. 
I have pco so I'm worried about gestational diabetes. I read that excessive thirst can be a sign. 
Does anyone else feel thirsty so much?

Am about 8 weeks too but the sight if water really puts me off. I hate to drink water. I know its not healthy but I can't help it :(

I am thirsty all the time! I drink nothing but water all day long, except for a small oj in the morning.

My mouth is also dry as anything. First doctors appointment today I am going to mention it to them

It's great to know I am not alone. I am always thirsty, but the thought of drinking water makes me queasy. I have been drinking a lot of Gatorade Zero, and I am a sucker for an icee!! Nothing seems to help my thirst though.

I have PCOS and am sooooo thirsty too! I'm not worried about the diabetes, I'll cross that bridge when i get there. At least it's water and not pop or juice im craving 😄

OMG I'm sucking down water like its a margarita on cinco de mayo!!!  I use a lot of those flavor enhancers (I call them squirts).  The pineapple coconut and pear acia is AMAZING.

Me too. I've been drinking a lot of Gatorade and find that that helps me.

Check the kinds of foods your eating - if you have a lot of salt, sugars or processed foods this can make you thirstier too but you are increasing your blood volume by 40-50% so thats around 4 pints and your also filling a womb with fluid for your baby so being thirsty is probably quite normal! I am always sipping drinks these days :)

Yep. Thirsty with dry mouth and lips since the week before my BFP. Gets better about half way through the day after I've already chugged a lot of water.

It was my first symptom with both pregnancies. I drink a lot of water daily so thirst isnt something i normally experiance. Its incredibly annoying!
