Tell me about your first Dr. Visit

I'm wondering if I should start looking for a new doctor while I have time. Mine had been ok for regular visits in the past but I feel like he might be dropping the ball now. I went at exactly 4weeks test confirmed I was pregnant so sent me for blood work (after he kept complaining how early pregnant I was) and had me go back yesterday at exactly 6 weeks. He did a vaginal US and the baby is in there just a really unclear photo. He said he can see the flicker of a HB but it's still a little soon to see a strong one. Now he wants me to go for full prenatal blood work & see him again at 8 weeks. He says everything looks great and normal. What bothers me is that he has not gone over anything with me. He has not mentioned prenatal vitamins once, food to eat/avoid, working out, due dates, precautions, etc. He had said nothing aside from everything looks good but it's still early blah blah. So I guess I just want to know what other people's early visits were like?
