How to buy coming home outfit??

Okay so I'm only at 23 weeks now but I was just wondering How to know what size outfit to get for when the baby comes home! Is there like a way they can estimate how big he'll be or is there a chance I might get an outfit too big or small?

Take a newborn and a 0-3. I only brought a newborn outfit and my daughter was 8lb 3oz. She barely for into it,  the pants were Capris in the middle of winter lol.

Usually they'll give you an estimate if you have a third trimester ultrasound (a lot of people don't get these however). We took a 0-3 outfit (the one below) but literally changed her out of it as soon as we got home since it was 9 pm and time for bed. She was born 7 lbs 7 oz and the 0-3 fit fine. This time we are taking a custom made outfit, but it's newborn size.

No, I'd just being two sleepers. One nb size and one that's 0-3 months. Later on in pregnancy it's really difficult to get an accurate weight via US, that is if you even have an US that late in the game. I was full term and my baby ended up being happy and healthy at only 5lbs 11oz. I put her in the nb sleeper and went on my way.

Usually your last few appointments before your due date they can tell you how much the baby weighs. I believe anything less than 8 lbs you can buy a newborn outfit and less than 5lbs premmie

& a premature outfit just in case because i only took a newborn outfit & even though she was born on the exact due date they gave me she weighed 5lb. 14 ounces & was itty bitty newborn clothes fit her huge so somebody went & bought her a premature outfit
