Witch Hazel

How good does witch hazel work on the skin? I have very acne prone skin as I am only 17 so.. lol and my acne is cystic acne which is the worst, and I was wondering if anyone had similar skin as me as I have cystic acne and I have oily skin and witch hazel has worked for you to clear your skin up, even if you don't have my skin type please do still leave your answer! Thank you
