At how many weeks did you have your baby?

It's a little confusing since I been told 40 weeks is 10 months is it true? Just wondering if I can have my baby sooner than 40 weeks

40 weeks is full term, but really anytime from 37 to 42 weeks is "normal." my baby was born at 37 wks 2 days

Yes 40 weeks is 10 months. 9months is 39 weeks. I think you can be considered "full term" by 37 weeks I'm not positive. Most babies born before 36 weeks are considered preemies I believe (again not 100% positive)

They will induce at 39 weeks but that's the soonest you can have an induction. I've been induced with all 3 of mine & plan to do the same with the 3th!! If you are having c-section same thing you can schedule at 39 weeks

Yes you can have your baby sooner than 40 weeks. It all depends on if your baby is ready to come out. You really don't want your baby to come too soon. That can lead to problems for the baby and a possible nicu stay.

I had my first child at 37 weeks 6 days but the longer the baby stays the better, that way the baby can be fully developed. If a baby comes out too early the baby can run across problems, have to stay in NICU until they can function on their own with little to no complications. Don't worry you'll have a lifetime to enjoy your child, enjoy your pregnancy!

Everyone counts the months differently, but basically the normal length for pregnancy is 9 months. This doesn't mean that when you finish your 8th month and hit 9, you are done. It means that you go through the whole 9th month. So if you are past the due date, then yes, you could be in your 10th month. Here's a picture that helps me. I look at it every week when I turn a "new week" to see exactly where I am in months. Ex: right now I'm 16 weeks so that's 4 1/2 months pregnant. Hope this helps!

10 lunar months 9 calender months, you have to factor in the longer calender months with 5 weeks, that's why they go by weeks it's easier to count.  I haven't had my baby yet but I'm being induced at 39 and 1 if he doesn't come on his own
