Condom size

I feel terrible about saying this. My boyfriend insists on buying magnum condoms, and even though he has a nice size it's not "magnum size". I'm a little afraid it's going to end up slipping off because it doesn't stay on tight, is there any possible way to bring up this conversation without making him feel embarrassed or bad
