tonsils swollen.... again.

so I'm about to head to the doctors once again for my tonsils. I have large tonsils to begin with so when they are irritated they come very close to closing my throat. I got strep a lot when I was younger but still have them. more recently my tonsils will just swell up and be very painful and hard even when I'm not sick, just whenever they feel like it. last night I could barely sleep an hour at a time, I kept waking up due to the pain I was in. I walked into the bathroom this morning to see my whole neck ( tonsil area) was swollen. if you feel my tonsils they are rock hard. I could barely get down my morning toast because my throat is so closed off. I'm just curious, as the doctors gives me a lot of anxiety , what do you think they will do for me?
