Pregnant or light period?

My ovulation was on May 3 and on Friday the 6th I started spotting. The spotting stopped last night and my period isn't due until the 15th. I took a test a few days ago and it was negative but it was also way to early to even test. Me and my husband have been trying to get pregnant and now I'm not sure what to think. The bleeding I had during my spotting was very light, not even enough to fill a pad, and there was no clots or anything. Any thoughts?
