Made a risky decision, and it was perfect!
I told my own mom and dad that I was expecting on Easter, and didn't tell my MIL and FIL until Mother's Day. It was absolutely perfect.
Don't listen to us! We don't know you, we don't know your family. His mom was asking me if she could tell everyone within 24 hours, and then wanted me to feel sorry for her that she had waited two whole days to tell her sister. My mom was totally fine and really helped me navigate everything in those first few weeks. It was a risky decision, and a lot of people on here said I shouldn't do it, but I knew it was the best decision for me.
