Nurse Practitioner won't take out birth control
I got my Nexplanon 13 months ago at my college health center. I went in a week ago because I have been bleeding off and on, had terrible cramps that last for the 5 days I have a "period" (which comes every 9 days), and it makes me feel like I'm going to puke every morning. She told me she wanted to put me on the pill for 90 days before I get it out to see if I can control the bleeding and that she wants to get me further down the road. Her main reason for not wanting to take it out is because she had a girl get hers out the week before and because she hadn't had it for a year it hadn't "encapsulated" yet so the implant kept slipping....I want it out and she wants to me stay on birth control so I don't get pregnant. It just really pisses me off that I'm being treated like a child. I should be able to say when I want my birth control taken out and not have to sit through a lecture about it. 😑
