Did you conceive?

Question

Have you had a baby or are you pregnant while also being obese? I'm trying to lose weight and I my losing patience and confidence. I Will keep trying but please share your stories of pregnancy success to help motivate me! Baby dust to all!

Pre pregnancy (January) I was 312lbs. Spoke to doctor about ttc (we'd been trying 7 months), and she suggested gentle walking and adapting diet). I joined slimming world Jan 20th, and my last period was Feb 17th! Found out on March 21st that I was 4 weeks pregnant!! :) I now weigh 260lbs! Just by making simple changes in preparing food (making things from scratch rather than frozen or jars of food - curry sauce, pasta sauces, etc). I'm 17 weeks today :)

Husband and I have been trying since September. No luck. I am overweight, always have been. March 1st I started a strict diet/exercise regimen. Started at 298. I lost 42lbs in 2 months and found out 4/26 I was pregnant! I am now 13weeks!! It's possible!! I promise it's frustrating and well worth it!! Don't give up!!

Yes! I am 5'6" and weighed about 240 before I became pregnant. It took 13 cycles and while I didn't lose more than 5-8 lbs during the first 11-12 months of TTC, I was doing a Whole30 the month we conceived and lost about 8 lbs and felt great! I was feeling very impatient. For a while, I had been using preseed and taking prenatals, but I became more serious about learning when I was ovulating and that combo seemed to work. The advanced OPK didn't work well for me, never got a flashing smiley. I had more success with OPKs from the dollar tree. My DH and I finally succeeded while away on a weekend romantic trip with lots of BD at the time of my ovulation (starting a couple of days before, actually). I will say I was shocked to finally get a BFP!  I'm in my 2nd trimester now and everything is going well. I've gained about 11lbs so far.

I weighed around 245 when we first ttc. After 2 devastating back to back miscarriages my cycles were super out of wack and I gained 30 lbs. I was put on prometrium, joined weight watchers, and bought a Fitbit and lost 20 lbs. A few weeks later my period came on its own and a few weeks after that I was pregnant. I'm now almost 37 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. I've only gained 25 lbs but been monitored closely because I've had high blood pressure at various appointments. Baby is developing on schedule and will be here within the next couple weeks!

I was 319 with my first. I'm 5'9" so I'm taller than most but at 319 it's still a lot of weight to put on your body. I'm now 355 I'm pregnant with my fourth. Don't give up hope. With my first she wasn't planned, My second was it only took us one try in one month like I'm not even kidding we had sex one day in a whole month. Now on the other hand I'm with a new guy now I had a miscarriage with my third it took us over a year of trying. Then after my miscarriage it took us over another year of trying. I'm now 16 weeks.

Honey I am maybe 210-230 I don't dare weigh myself and my mum was nearly 290 when she conceived me. I'm 6weeks pregnant. I don't think being over weight is an issue at for getting pregnant I just think there are more risks for us big girl 😔 but my mum had me and I'm perfectly healthy  After she had me she was a size 28. And I'm a size 18-20 and I conceived and I have a healthy pregnancy so far. So I think you will be okay. I will keep you in my prayers 😘

Hey Vcar! I'm obese (5'3" & 195lbs).. I've been overweight all my life and got obese when I got married.

We've conceived twice and sadly turned into MC which broke our hearts. Now, I'm pregnant again and on my 5th week. It's all going well and hopefully this time would be a healthy pregnancy :)

By the way, I'm diagnosed with PCOS.. Never lose hope, the key is to keep yourself happy and less stress. Baby dust to you 😘

I was 242lbs when me and my husband conceived, we had been trying for almost a year and I had tried to lose weight but struggled and I am currently around 239lbs and 14w4d

I had my first daughter when I was overweight, got pregnant on the first round of clomid and lost tons of weight while being pregnant when he they said it's normal since I was already over weight. 2 years later without any clomid I got pregnant naturally on the first try, weight more now than I did the first time, so it really just depends on your body. I was so shocked since I have PCOS and endometriosis, but you just got to listen to your body and do what you feel is right.
