Any Nursing Students or Nursing Grads?

Question

Any nursing students or grads in here? I am a CNA and I'm thinking about furthering my career by enrolling into a Community college and earning an associates degree in Nursing. I'm a little nervous many ppl have been trying to sike be out by telling me how hard it is. I'm not afraid of hard work. I've always done well in school. Any advice for me?

I'm an RN, BSN. Everyone freaked us out too about how hard the program would be. So I quit my part time job to focus on school. Well, after a semester of being super bored and broke, I picked my job back up. If you focus and manage your time well, you can do it! Go for it! Good luck!!!

I went to Nursing school, had a job, and a 5 month old baby. If I can do it, you can too! Looking back, yes it was very difficult, but also very worth it! I love being a nurse!

I'm a cna and I wanna go for cota (certified occupational therapy assistant) they make good money and I really think I'll enjoy it! My sister is an lpn and LOVES it!

I'm an RN. I got my degree from a community college and had a great experience. I was a cna in a hospital for three years before nursing school which I highly recommend. Its hard but you can do it. Now I'm making double what I was as a cna, and I was making almost 15$ an hr back then. Totally worth it.

I'm a registered children's nurse & work in theatre recovery :) I'd say do what your heart tells you. If that's your dream then go for it! Xx

This is sort of off topic, but would it cause a miscarriage or harm the baby if I were to become pregnant doing private home care?? Like helping the patient stand from a sitting position?

I'm a consolidating RPN/LPN and as long as you can time manage, self learn and don't get behind you will be fine! It's not an easy program by any means but if it's something you're interested in it will be easier. Since you are a CNA it will be a smooth transition and that will definitely be an asset as you will already be familiar with a lot of the basic content and skills!

Going for my LPN right now and later for my RN. It is definitely hard but it's not impossible. You just need to study and really go for it if that's what you want
