dress code ?

what do you guys think about having a dress code at your baby shower? Im having a royal prince theme , & i was thinking about asking my guest to wear either white , denim or royal blue or they could mix it up , i think it would look nice with pictures , my color them is mainly gold , white & royal blue & my dress is gold & white .. im just torn at the idea because i really like it but my mom says otherwise.. what do you ladies think ? ❤️
