Placenta aging

So less then a week ago i went to my 33 weeks appointment to get some shots ( steroids to help to baby's lung develop quicker ) and we found out i lost weight. So we did and ultrasound and saw that the placenta was prematurely aging and the baby was growing slower because the placenta was slowly closing the umbilical cord and my lost of weight wasn't helping. They put me on bed rest and asked me to gain at least 1 more lb. Tuesday i have another appointment to check out my weight and in 2 weeks we start fetal monitoring. Doctors told me there's no more dude date its just a question of time...I'm scared, anxious to see my baby, feel guilt but above all i do not feel prepared at all !
