Exclusive Pumping
My baby was 6 weeks premature and spent a month in the NICU. She had a feeding tube and blood sugar issues that created a long delay of about 2 weeks before we could even try breastfeeding. She never got the hang of it and upon discharge we have to have her on a high calorie mix of breastmilk and Enfacare anyways. So I'm still here 6 months later exclusively pumping so she can have breastmilk.
I've been pumping every 3 to 4 hour for 6 months and I am so over this. My goal was a year but I don't know if I can do it. On the other side, the guilt of stopping overwhelms me. I know she needs it, especially as a preemie.
Anyone else an exclusive pumper? How long did you last? Any advice?
