Is it true about ovulation?

I was told that even if you don't have your cycle you could still ovulate.... Is this true?

I think it's possible, just based on something my doctor said to me recently. She said that many women don't get their period while breastfeeding, and think that means they can't get pregnant, where in fact, they still could concieve. So I'm thinking it's possible depending on the reason you're not menstruating.

I'm wondering the same thing. I stopped bc in April but I haven't had a good cycle since March. April even though I was still on pills for that month all I did was spot. And in May I haven't had one yet. It's frustrating. I have an appointment next Friday to talk to my dr about this. Good luck to you.

Well you can ovulate without having a period before hand. However if you ovulate you will have a period 11-16 days after ovulation unless you are pregnant. Ovulation and periods hi hand in hand.

The timing of when your period comes is dependent on when you ovulate, so yes. It does depend on why you aren't having a period though.
