Numbing spray brand ???

Question

I've seen that sometimes women use numbing spray on their lady parts after giving birth. My question is which spray is safe to use around such a sensitive area? I haven't given birth yet but after a minor incident I now have a laceration there and could definitely use some numbing spray. Thanks in advance.

They give you Dermaplast at the hospital but it doesn't numb it just helps with the stinging and healing process. I would buy an extra bottle or two of it or ask the hospital for extra before you leave. They will give you instructions on how to use and when.

When I delivered my daughter a little over two years ago I tore pretty bad and had a 3rd degree episiotomy. I was sent home with tucks pads and demaplast spray (red can, not blue). And omg was that a huge help. Just put a pad in and line the pas with 2-3 tucks pads and then spray the area with the demaplast for 1-2 seconds. Also, getting newborn diapers wet and laying then flat in the freezer is nice too. They line nicely in underwear and help numb the painful sight. Hope this helps....

The stuff is mostly made up of witch hazel, so just go get a bottle of that for now.

When I gave birth to my first daughter the hospital gave me Dermoplast. It worked great!

I would ask your doctor if there is something that is safe.  The most common thing I have seen suggested is to wet and freeze pads to wear post partum.  Not sure if that would help you in this situation.
