Diapers or pads after delivery??

Question

So I'm almost 31 weeks pregnant and trying to decide what needs to go in my hospital bag and what I need waiting at home for me. But I've heard some women like diapers after delivery cause the blood flo can be so strong and I already had heavy periods before so any additional information will be appreciated!

I didn't find diapers were necessary, it's only insanely heavy for a couple days, so mostly while you're in the hospital anyways. The maxi overnight pads w wings were plenty for me!

I used pads but there were moments I was tempted to get diapers lol. The bleeding and pain is real after birth. Maybe try both!

My sister suggested CLOTH pads (she already uses cloth diapers for baby) she used regular pads but then decided what the heck and tried one cloth pad just to see how it went and she said it was more absorbant than a regular pad and allowed much more breathing down there. I don't know how I feel about cloth pads but as I am cloth diapering as well I might give it a shot...

I watered down size 1 diapers and froze them and used them for recovery!! Seriously the BEST thing ever. It numbs everything down there and they don't leak! Plus catches blood too... But they're obviously really bulky so I would just do it sitting around the house or napping but an absolute life saver!!

I only used pads but diapers almost would have been better. I'd start with pads and if necessary get diapers :) whichever works better for you. You can't really know for sure until you know how much you're bleeding

With my first I used the lads the hospital gave me but I am liking the idea of the depends...I have heavy heavy periods

If you don't bring diapers you can ask your dr for one or they might even ask you if you want one they do have them for whoever needs! Cuz who knows you might not even need them and it be a huge waste of money

Ima wear diapers until i stop bleeding and wear pads when I start my regular menstrual periods

Diapers were soooo much better! I used pads for the first few days and leaked everywhere, then used diapers when I got home and they were so comfortable, never leaked, never had to worry how I was lying at night.. So worth it

My hospital supplies either or. But they prefer moms to wear pads & the net undies they give. They say it's to help with letting air circulated better healing.
